Philadelphia sampler with highly developed scenes of houses, gentlefolk fishing and hunting and detailed depictions of people, birds and animals, by Jane Loxley, worked in the most significant year of Philadelphia's history: 1776. Sampler size: 18 x 14 inRichly colored Scandinavian folk art embroidery, featuring a couple in traditional clothes. Size of the embroidery: 21 x 20 in.
